The moon shines clear as silver,
The sun shines bright like gold,
And both are very lovely,
And very, very old.
God hung them up as lanterns,
For all beneath the sky;
And nobody can blow them out,
For they are up too high.
“My 3yo daughter loves loves loves this book! We’ve read it almost every night for a year. She loves to see the moon in the sky, and we talk about the things we’ve learned from the book, like how cold it is, and the shadow of the earth.”
