I saw a yellow butterfly,
And knew just what that meant.
It wanted me to follow it,
Everywhere it went.
First I saw it cross a bridge,
And over a river it flew.
Around the bushes and through a fence,
By the neighbors house I’m not allowed into.
I ran out after it anyhow,
And found a slithering snake.
Who wasn’t very polite to me,
Its eggs it thought, I’d probably take.
Distracted from the butterfly,
It had flown off without saying goodbye.
Easy come, easy go,
I thought to myself as I walked away.
